The intent of the RWC cross connection control program is to participate with our customers to ensure safe drinking water and to create a barrier from the devastating health, legal, and financial consequesnces of a "back flow" event. State regulations require public water systems to identify and eliminate "cross connections" to public water systems. A cross connection is any actual or potential connection between the water system and any potential contaminant.
